To this day, I cannot comprehend as to why people think that it is acceptable to lie. With the exception of the obvious reason of avoiding arguments, I don't get it. Why would you steal someone's right to the truth? What drives a person to do that? It just doesn't make sense to me. So, after observing people for some time, I've come to the conclusion that there are two types of liars
(that annoy me):
The Pretentious Liars
These people lie in order to present a false, pretentious lifestyle. It seems to me that they do this due to personal insecurities. They intend to please others by misleading them, when in actual fact, the only ones being misled is them... By their own lies.
The Deluded Liars
These people are the dangerous types. The ones you should stay away from, actually. They are way past the stage of compulsive lying and don't lie to others, no. Infact, these people are actually lying to themselves. Probably because they are trying to prove a point. They somehow manage to distort the past to support their own views, they completely change the way an event occurs to place themselves in a favourable position. A position of trust.
My point is, there's no need to lie. No need whatsoever. One lie leads to another, so be honest and be free of having to recall false information. Do yourself and others a favour.
